World Golf Hall of Fame Opens The Museum Café, Hires New Chef

New menu features garden-fresh, healthy cuisine 
at an affordable price

The World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum announced the grand re-opening of The Museum Café – formerly Fairways Café – with a new, healthy, golf-inspired menu.

Chef Chris Yacavone at The Museum CafeThe inspiration behind the renovation came from the café’s newest addition, Chef Chris Yacavone, who reinvented the dishes to more accurately reflect the Hall of Fame.
Yacavone, known respectively as Chef Chris, welded together a selection of entrees sure to fit the palate of any guest.

A sampling of The Museum Café’s menu includes a “Hole-In-One Burger,” the “On The Green Burger” – the vegetarian version of the Hole-In-One option – “The Slice BLT,” and a delectable assortment of salads, most notably of which is the Tomato Salad. Additional options include the Chef’s Seasonal Soup of the Day, Steak or Chicken Philly and a Traditional Club among others. Click here to view complete menu.

“The food at The Museum Café really speaks for itself,” Chef Chris Yacavone said. “Our renovations have given us the chance to incorporate customer-friendly golf themes into our dishes. We’re focusing on fresh, green entrees, and we look forward to showcasing our menu to the St. Augustine community.”
Chef Chris brings a unique skillset to the table with more than 17 years of culinary experience, specifically his eight years as the Sous Chef at Walt Disney World and several years as the Chef de Cuisine at the Hyatt Regency Hemisphere at the Orlando International Airport.

During his time at Walt Disney World, Chef Chris assisted in the openings of Citricos, Sanaa and Todd English’s Blue Zoo. He trained in the Le Cordon Bleu Program at Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon, and just recently relocated to North Florida as the new Head Chef of The Museum Café.

The World Golf Hall of Fame and The Museum Café are open to the public Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon – 6 p.m.
