Their Behind the Seas Tour offers an exclusive backstage look at our facility and animal habitats, and an opportunity to explore their unique and fascinating history spanning over 75 years. From their beginnings as an underwater film studio to their new, modern facility, Marineland Dolphin Adventure has been creating memories for generations. Along with their many advancements over the years, guests will learn about Marineland’s pioneering work in aquatic animal research and advancement of life support systems for aquatic environments. The Behind the Seas tour also features new exhibits with animals native to the Southeast region of the United States, and an opportunity to learn the importance of the Gulf Stream, ecosystems and conservation. Guests will also discover facts about invasive species and their effects on aquatic populations along the eastern seaboard, such as lion fish, green moray eels, jellyfish and lobsters. Pricing (includes General Admission): Length of tour: approximately 45 minutes. Historic Weapons DemonstrationsDate : 09/16/2018 Time : 10:30 am - 3:30 pm Categories : No Categories Event Phone: Event Fax: Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays Historic Weapons Demonstrations National Parks Service personnel demonstrate the weapons and relate the experiences of the Colonial Spanish soldier stationed in St. Augustine in 1740′s. Demonstration times are 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. throughout the year. Firing times are subject to change depending on weather conditions and staff availability. The Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry fortification in the U.S., was built by the Spanish in 1672 to help protect their empire in the New World. Admission is $10 for adults- valid for 7 consecutive days. Children 15 and under are free but must be accompanied by an adult. The Castillo is open 8:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. daily.
