drawing of ponce de leon for an article about st augustine floridaSt. Augustine has a lot of history to it. It is where Juan Ponce de Leon landed to settle. He named this land La Florida. There is a huge cross where he landed. It is about two hundred fifty feet high!

You should go and visit the fort too. They say the Northeast Tower is haunted. There are old jail cells in it that you can go in. There are also people that shoot cannons as a demonstration of what it was like back then.

The Trolley ride teaches you all about St. Augustine. It mostly tells you about the old buildings.
