Prepare to be charmed by lively dramatic re-enactors who bring history to life and teach us new lessons of how our nation has survived.  After all, St. Augustine was founded by Pedro Menendez de Aviles in 1565—long before Plymouth Rock—and is the oldest continually occupied settlement in America.  It’s the sight of Spanish conquistadors, American Indians and colonial citizens in authentic dress as they tell tales of their struggles that make this city the most fascinating in America.
