Parking in St. Augustine

While visiting the Old City, you may find the need to park your car & do a little foot work. That is, you may do some of your sight-seeing on foot, instead of by car. Indeed, St. Augustine was originally laid out for walking and that is the reason for the narrow streets we are so familiar with. One obvious example is the ever-popular St. George Street. Home to a variety of restaurants, shops and historic sites! From bakeries & pizzerias to crystal shops & souvenir havens as well as sight-seeing stops such as the Oldest Wooden School House. This street only open to foot traffic, but there are several side streets that do allow cars, so watch out for those.

The best place for parking is at The St. Augustine Visitor Information Center at 10 W. Castillo Dr. The parking garage there can hold 1,200 cars & it only costs $12 per day. There are other parking spots around town, but most are metered, so you will have to pay for the parking.
